The Institute for Obesity Research (IOR) at Tecnológico de Monterrey seeks outstanding candidates to lead independent and dynamic research programs in fields such as metabolic diseases, obesity, systems biology applied to biomedicine, cell biology, genomics, or any other area of biological sciences with a particular focus on addressing health challenges related to obesity and metabolic diseases.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree, demonstrate significant research achievements, present an innovative research plan, and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching for undergraduate and graduate students. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in their research and teaching practices.
We are looking for researchers with notable academic output profiles for junior, associate, or full professor positions, depending on demonstrated level of experience. Applicants should specify in their cover letter whether they are applying for a junior, associate, or full professor position. We are particularly interested in candidates with extensive experience in applied, translational or clinical research who can collaborate with the hospitals of Tecnológico de Monterrey and foster collaboration with researchers within our Institute.
The IOR presents an exciting opportunity for faculty to develop and lead research activities to prevent and treat obesity and metabolic diseases in Mexican and Latin American populations.
