Job Description

Required immediately, our Local Winnipeg Branch is seeking a full-time Laminate Production Worker to join our team. FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 17 Showrooms and 8 fabricating facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. FLOFORM manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year.  Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.FLOFORM Counter-tops offers a positive and fun working environment that rewards those who share in our mission: “To consistently provide our customers the best counter-top purchasing experience available.”Duties and Responsibilities:
The production worker is responsible for the production of laminate counter tops at various stages in the manufacturing process. The production worker's duties may vary from operating machinery, assembling materials or equipment, carrying out inspections and quality control for the final product while always maintaining a clean and orderly workstation and observing and adhering to all safety procedures while being an active member of the production team

Qualifications 
  • Ability to read and understand measurements
  • Basic mathematical skills and good understanding of fractions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hand woodworking tools and the operation of power tools such as table saw, chop saw etc. considered an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to operate a forklift or obtain license considered an asset
  • Able to lift 60lbs- 100lbs regularly
Desired Skills & Experience  Cutting and finishing
  • Read the order information on the tape and adjust saw angles accordingly
  • Mark the top with the cut lines
  • Cut the top to order specifications
  • Conduct quality control check to verify proper formation
  • Send orders to finishing
  • Glue laminate edges onto Countertop
  • Sand rough edges
  • Wash the top and conduct a final quality control inspection
  • Other duties as assigned
