The Opportunity

To support our continued growth, VMG is seeking a dependable Production Worker to join our sheet metal shop in Berryville, VA.

This entry-level role supports daily production by preparing materials, operating basic shop equipment, and assisting team members with general production activities. Previous fabrication or welding experience is not required-we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

Production Support

• Assist with cutting, bending, and preparing materials for production
• Follow work orders, instructions, and established production procedures
• Support daily production goals and help keep work moving efficiently
• Assist experienced team members with general shop and fabrication tasks
• Inspect materials for visible defects or damage and report concerns promptly

Tools, Equipment & Safety

• Operate basic shop equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely
• Follow all company safety policies and shop procedures
• Use required personal protective equipment
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of avoidable hazards

What We're Looking For

• Previous work experience required
• Construction, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality
• Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and production processes
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working with tools in an active shop environment
• Strong attention to safety and quality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate tools and handle production materials
• Ability to work in an active sheet metal shop environment
