Job Description

Mechanical Rubber Ohio is a leading rubber manufacturing company located in Strongsville, OH, dedicated to producing high-quality rubber products for a variety of industries. -Salary- $19 per hour

-The Production Utility Person plays a key support role in our manufacturing operations. This position assists machine operators, handles materials, performs general labor tasks, and maintains a clean and safe production environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and grow within a hands-on production role.

-Hours are from 5:30am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup, operation, and changeovers.

  • Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products.

  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (training and certification provided).

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

  • Inspect products for quality and report defects or irregularities.

  • Support multiple production areas (mixing, extrusion, molding, finishing).

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE use and lockout/tagout.

  • Accurately record production data and communicate issues to supervisors.

  • Work overtime as needed to meet production goals.

  • Support daily production operations on rubber extrusion, salt bath curing, and microwave curing lines.
  • Supply production lines with raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred (rubber or plastics a plus).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.
