Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical & Electrical Trainer to join our team at Letterkenny. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in developing our production employees and ensure that every colleague is equipped to perform their role safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will be at the heart of ensuring that every employee in production has the skills and confidence to excel in their role. By embedding safety, quality, and efficiency into training, you will directly contribute to our culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

As the Mechanical & Electrical Trainer, you will:

  • Design and deliver training programmes tailored to production needs across mechanical and electrical assembly of power distribution and control systems.
  • Provide training using the most effective methods; including 1:1 session, group workshops, video materials, and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain alignment of all training with safety, quality, and engineering standards, including ISO accreditation requirements.
  • Keep comprehensive and auditable training records for all employees.
  • Ensure training evolves alongside new products, updated processes, and engineering changes.
  • Share best practices by collaborating internally and externally, while keeping your own skills and knowledge up to date.
  • Identify and report any anomalies in processes, materials, or skills during the training process

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong ability to design and deliver engaging, effective training.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach employees at all levels.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in mechanical or electrical production environments.
