Job Description

Production Trainee

Irvine Plant

To train as a machine operator starting on days with prospects to moving onto a 5-crew shift. You will receive a structured programme and a dedicated mentor with training in our Forming Department. You will also gain awareness in other areas, including Production Engineering, Mould Repair and with the Feeder Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish an effective communication flow between forming and inspection, verbally and via internal systems to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Monitor performance and report any issues to supervision in a timely manner
  • Identify mechanical malfunctions and rectify where possible.
  • Filling in on shifts where required to maintain optimal performance.
Required skills / qualifications:
  • Good Communication and teamwork skills
  • Be organised, proactive and self-motivated
  • Have a high attention to detail and observation skills
  • Have a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Analytical and logical in approach
  • Fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Lean tools knowledge desirable
What we offer
  • Salary Minimum £29,119 - £35,704 Maximum per annum
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
  • Working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week, which includes 26.5 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
