Responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving production test systems to ensure product functionality, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. The role supports mass production by stabilizing test coverage, reducing test time, and resolving test‑related issues on the production floor.
1. Production Test Development & Maintenance
Develop, validate, and maintain production test programs, scripts, and procedures
Support test system bring‑up during NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass production
Ensure test coverage meets product specifications and quality requirements
Maintain test documentation, work instructions, and revision control
2. Test System Support & Troubleshooting
Provide on‑site technical support for production test stations, ATE and fixtures
Diagnose and resolve test failures related to hardware, software, or measurement issues
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to distinguish test escapes vs. true product defects
Reduce false failures and improve test robustness
3. Yield & Efficiency Improvement
Analyze test data to improve FPY, yield, and throughput (UPH)
Optimize test flow, sequencing, and parameters to reduce test cycle time
Implement continuous improvement (CI / Lean) projects for test processes
Drive cost reduction initiatives related to test time and equipment utilization
4. Test Fixture & Equipment Management
Design, specify, or support test fixtures, jigs, and tooling
Coordinate with vendors for fixture fabrication, debug, and maintenance
Ensure test equipment meets calibration and reliability requirements
Support preventive maintenance (PM) of test systems
5. Quality & Compliance
Support failure analysis, customer complaints, and audit activities
Ensure test processes comply with quality systems (ISO, ESD, traceability)
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for test‑related issues
Support reliability, stress, and limit testing as required
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Equipment, and IT teams
Train operators and technicians on test station operation and basic troubleshooting
Participate in design reviews to enhance DFT (Design for Testability)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field
Above 3 years production line management on final assembly and testing
1. Test system debugging and failure analysis
2. Electrical measurement and instrumentation knowledge
3. Data analysis and test yield analysis
4. Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
5. Hands‑on experience with production test systems or ATE
6. Develop/ Maintain Hardware or Software of ATE
