Production Technician

The Production Technician plays a key role in the manufacturing of high-quality coil coatings by producing batches safely, efficiently, and according to established specifications.

This position works closely with Production, Quality Control, and Technical teams to ensure batches are completed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture coatings batches according to production formulas and work instructions.
• Accurately weigh and add raw materials into mixing tanks and production equipment.
• Operate mixers, pumps, and other production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper mixing, grinding and developing of batches.
• Work closely with QC to make adjustments and ensure batches meet specifications.
• Transfer finished products into drums, totes, or storage tanks for shipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch tickets, and material usage documentation.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Employees are required to provide their own steel-toed work shoes.
• High school diploma or equivalent is strongly recommended.
• Forklift experience is strongly recommended.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Experience in paint, coatings, chemical, or liquid manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to follow written instructions and production formulas accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions and around chemical odors
