    Location: Cape Town

    Main Responsibilities

    • Perform production line setups and changeovers
    • Execute tool changes and configure extrusion equipment
    • Set up auxiliary equipment (feeders, driller units, coilers)
    • Optimize machine performance to meet OEE targets (Performance, Availability, Scrap)
    • Ensure production lines meet technical and output requirements
    • Input order and parameter specifications into MES
    • Assist with production planning and scheduling in SAP
    • Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis
    • Respond to breakdowns and support repairs to reduce downtime
    • Ensure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and maintain HSE protocols
    • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
    • Manage wear parts replacement and stock control (rollers, rings, tools)
    • Participate in equipment installations and technical upgrades
    • Provide after-hours standby support for production needs
    • Train Production Supervisors on technical and operational aspects

    Additional Requirements

    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure
    • Practical, hands-on, and proactive approach
    • Logical problem-solving ability with attention to detail
    • Good verbal and written communication, computer literacy, and numeracy skills
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transport
    • Flexibility to work shifts when required

    Education and Qualifications

    • Electrical or Electronic Artisan or Millwright
    • Red Seal Certificate

    Experience and Preferred Skills

    • Approximately 5 years of experience in manufacturing or continuous production
    • Strong understanding of production processes and mechanical systems
    • ERP system experience (MES, SAP, Oracle, EFI)

    Employment Conditions

    • Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 08h00-17h00; Friday, 08h00-16h00
    • Flexibility required to work additional hours when needed
    • Standby duties for breakdowns and production line support
    • Permanent employment, subject to a three-month probation period

    Package

    • Basic Salary: R40,000 per month, slightly neg
    • Provident Fund: 8.3% employer contribution, 7.5% employee contribution
    • Medical Aid: 50% employer / 50% employee
