Production Team Lead

Location: Torrance, CA | Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations and provide hands-on leadership in a GMP environment. This role is key to ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production while supporting team development and operational excellence.

The Production Team Lead is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, guiding production staff, and ensuring adherence to batch records, procedures, and cGMP standards. This role serves as a critical link between teams, helping drive communication, quality, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and execute daily production activities and resource allocation

  • Lead and support production staff, including mentoring team members

  • Ensure accurate and timely batch record execution and documentation

  • Identify deviations and support change control and CAPA activities

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of processes and equipment

  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and compliance

  • Provide regular production and project updates to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing

  • Prior leadership or lead operator experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and regulated production environments

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (ERP a plus)

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a controlled environment with PPE and gowning requirements
