Job Title:

Production Team Lead, Sun-Thurs, 10 pm to 6:30 am

The Production Team Lead position is responsible and accountable forassistingthe Production Supervisor in achieving production requirements for work groups or product line work cells by focusing onservice,quality.Assistingin scheduling and coordinatingwork flow, supporting employee training, providing employee guidance and motivation, followingthrough ofdelegated work, and providing input on employee performance and other duties as assigned.

In this role you will:

• Expedites production of priority jobs to provideon timedelivery for customers.Assistsinidentifyingand recommending procedures for scrap reduction.  Reviews completed work orders for accuracy (i.e.start up, shutdown time, material usage, part counts, etc.) and resolves inaccuracies. Uses ERP system (SAP preferred) to review, transact and monitorwork flowand achievement of production goals.   Coordinates employee assignments and breaks for work area personnel.  Performs duties within technicalexpertisesuch as setting up, tearing down or equipment operation, testing and or inspection of products. Ensures anyoperatordaily check lists and tasks are completed. 

• May work directly with planning, materials, qualityteams to resolve manufacturing/delivery issues.

• Provides recognition to employees.Assistsand or conducts employee training for effective performance.Assistsin ensuring proper cross training is reviewed and updated accordingly.Assistsin proactively addressing performance issues with employees.  Adheres to Company policies and procedures.  Provides input to Production Supervisor with employee performance reviews and corrective actions. Assistswith coordinating effective delegation of work assignments and training. Assistswith conducting shift meetings and coordinating mandatory training.

• Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, On Time Delivery, waste elimination, growth, costeffectivenessand product/system quality. Promotes and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value activities.  Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.

• Ensuresquality parts are produced for customers.Assistsin investigating and evaluating quality defects as assigned and in determiningappropriate actionsto be taken. Assistswith recommending and implementing solutions to improve quality of products. Assistsin writing document change orders and manufacturing/part instructions.

Promotes direct action to ensuresafetyof employees and visitors withincompany  Monitors work area and employees’ performance for adherence to safety procedures, work restrictions,cleanlinessand potential hazards to include correct use of hand tools, ergonomically work habits,equipmentand machine operation procedure usage.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• Minimum High school diploma and 5 years ofwork relatedexperience in a lean manufacturing environment.  Experience providing work direction to other associates. 

• Experience withusing SAP and Camline.

• Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry. 

• Good visual ability to detect quality defects. 

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, Physical Requirements):

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Five years' Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures.

• Good attention to detail, ability to perform basic math and computer data entry.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to use some hand tools.

• Walk and stand during entire shift. Work on a clean room environment, wear a bunny suit for long periods of time.

• Wearing safety glasses and nitrile gloves also are required.

• Pay range is $31/hr-$35 per hour depending upon experience.
