Production Team Lead (Finished Product)

Location: Torrance, CA | Employment Type: Full-Time

Lead the final step in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical products.

PolyPeptide is seeking a Production Team Lead – Finished Product to oversee daily manufacturing operations related to final product processing, packaging, and release preparation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide a team, ensure compliance, and help drive efficient, high-quality production in a GMP environment.

As a Production Team Lead (Finished Product), you will coordinate and support finished product operations, ensuring all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with cGMP standards. You will serve as a key link between operators and management, helping drive team performance, product quality, and on-time delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily operations on the finished product floor, ensuring adherence to schedules, SOPs, and batch records

  • Supervise processes such as lyophilization, drying, packaging, labeling, and sample preparation

  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards

  • Monitor equipment and processes, escalating issues and coordinating support as needed

  • Train and mentor team members on procedures, equipment, and documentation

  • Review batch records for accuracy and completeness prior to QA submission

  • Communicate production status, shift updates, and issues to management

  • Collaborate with QA, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to support operations and improvements

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and documentation

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in GMP pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing

  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience with finished product handling and packaging

  • Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems (a plus)
