Safely and efficiently manage the assembly line and assist the supervisor, while properly handling materials and products, meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and team objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the daily activities of team members in the department.
  • Updates all performance boards on an hour by hour basis.
  • Conducts morning stretch & flex and briefs all employees from daily production report.
  • Follows up on all safety incidents/near misses as required to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Attends morning production meetings as directed.
  • Participates in daily Out of Box Audits as required.
  • Understands product knowledge of all components in the department.
  • Operates all machines and hand tools in the department as necessary ad required.
  • Checks computer to determine which cabinets are "hot" and have to be ran.
  • Adds missing items to the Hot List for whatever day they are loading.
  • At the end of the day, sets up the department for the next day’s build.
  • Coach employees on policies and procedures as necessary and required.
  • Covers for the supervisor in his/her absence.
  • Fills in where extra help is needed.
  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing enviroment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with employees that have diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Bias for action; understands how to manage priorities in order to drive production.
  • Willing to be flexible and nimble when necessary.
  • Excellent attendance required; willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Willing to participate in leadership trainings as required.
  • Safety focused; completes safety audits and actions.
  • Listens to understand.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required.
