Job Description

The Production Supervisor leads the Upfitting team at our Arlington, Texas facility, overseeing daily production activities to ensure vehicles are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This hands-on role is primarily based on the production floor, where the supervisor provides direction and support to the team, coordinates the flow of vehicles and materials, monitors performance, and resolves production issues. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for driving continuous improvement, developing team capabilities, building and maintaining high levels of motivation and morale, and promoting a positive, accountable, and productive work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and support the Upfitting team to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production targets.

· Monitor production activities and proactively identify, escalate, and remove obstacles that may impact schedules, productivity, or quality.

· Ensure the efficient flow of vehicles, materials, and work through the production process to prevent disruptions and delays.

· Build and maintain a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment that supports high levels of motivation and morale.

· Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of Upfitting team members.

· Assist with production planning and scheduling and assign resources to support production requirements.

· Monitor individual and team performance, provide coaching and feedback, identify training needs, and administer corrective action when required.

· Maintain accurate production, attendance, and personnel records.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team members to identify and implement process improvements.

· Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.

· Partner closely with Scheduling, Material Handling, Quality, and other internal departments to support efficient operations and resolve issues quickly.

· Ensure materials and kits are prepared in advance of production schedules and proactively address potential shortages or constraints.

· Conduct regular team meetings to communicate business updates, production priorities, and future plans, while encouraging employee feedback and input.

· Ensure consistent and accurate use of timekeeping and production tracking systems.

· Review and approve employee time records, work hour reports, and vacation requests.

· Develop proficiency in finished vehicle quality inspections and support quality assurance activities as required.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment and ensure facility and equipment maintenance requirements are addressed promptly.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

· 2-3 years of supervisory experience in an automotive, manufacturing, or production environment.

· Direct experience performing vehicle upfitting or similar hands-on production work.

· Secondary school diploma preferred.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide direction, hold employees accountable, and maintain a productive team environment.

· Demonstrated ability to motivate employees, build morale, and foster a positive workplace culture.

· Valid driver's licence with a satisfactory driving record.

· Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience using performance metrics, production data, and goal setting to drive team performance and achieve operational objectives.

· Proven ability to coach, develop, and train employees, and effectively address performance concerns when required.

· Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 9 hours per day.
