Since 2007, Molex Vietnam has operated its first factory in Thang Long I IP. We are now expanding with a new high tech facility in Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen, backed by a $145 million investment and spanning 100,000 m². This site will manufacture advanced products including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.

Primary Purpose

Lead and manage the plating production team to achieve operational KPIs, ensure quality standards, and foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive and monitor production KPIs (POEE, mmratio, VOH, COPQ, QAP) to meet targets.
2. Manage and develop team talent; build a strong performance-driven culture.
3. Address quality and production issues to ensure customer requirements are met.
4. Maintain and improve safety, security, and 5S standards in the plating workshop.
5. Operate and oversee end-to-end plating processes (welding, line setup, vision inspection, packing) and related functions, including Au consumption management.
6. Ensure plating process reliability and maintain spare parts for stable mass production.
7. Apply deep knowledge of electroplating techniques; support new product trials and resolve complex technical issues.
8. Collaborate effectively with Lab and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
9. Lead improvement projects focused on cost savings, Au consumption reduction, and chemical usage optimization.
10. Utilize production systems (MES, SAP, Power BI) for data-driven decision-making.
11. Perform other tasks as assigned to support business needs.

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Preferred: Technical background with experience in manufacturing; plating experience is a strong advantage.

Work Experience

• Required: Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Experience in plating product manufacturing.

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role with proven leadership and motivation skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, KPIs, and systems (SAP, MES, Power BI).
• Familiarity with electroplating, chemicals, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings and quickly learn new processes, machines, and products.
• Independent, proactive, and improvement-oriented mindset (5S, Lean).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) required. Knowledge of DOE, MSA, SPC, Cpk; data-driven approach (AI experience is a plus).
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Language: Business-level English (Korean or Chinese is an advantage).
