WHERE YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

SHIFT** 6am – 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations on packaging lines during designated shifts. Responsibilities include monitoring the performance of employees and temporary staff, ensuring proper use and care of production equipment, and maintaining facility standards within the assigned area. The role enforces adherence to established manufacturing processes and ensures achievement of production targets while prioritizing safety and quality requirements. Oversight of washroom personnel includes inspection, evaluation, and training activities to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and prevention of product contamination. The position supports cross-functional collaboration with other production departments and site support functions. Additional responsibilities include completion of daily documentation related to team activities and promotion of a continuous improvement culture within the team.

  • Perform supervisory functions within a cGMP dietary supplement manufacturing environment per established procedures.
  • Monitor proper stock levels for expendable supplies and components used within the manufacturing process.
  • Document employee activities related to performance, corrective action, and attendance.
  • Review and sign off work orders, including cleanings, set-up, beginning of runs, ends of runs, and related activities.
  • Review batch records and associated documentation for completeness, legibility, and correctness.
  • Work with Quality Control to effectively identify, document, and help resolve quality and production issues as needed.
  • Accurately document any out-of-specification conditions per established procedures.
  • Accurately track work orders internally during the production process.
  • Monitor and verify completeness of all logs for accuracy, completeness, and legibility.
  • Monitor and communicate any changes to production orders, including quantities or changes in schedule.
  • Constantly monitor the production environment for compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Continually assess safety and ensure production employees are working in a safe environment.
  • Report and monitor any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
  • Support the team in achieving shift objectives.
  • Monitor and support all training activities with the team.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in the assigned area.
  • Complete and verify documentation with accuracy.
  • Be at the physical job location for the designated assigned shift.
  • Train others and/or participate in task forces to improve company procedures or operations.
  • Effectively problem-solve.
  • Work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.

WHAT MAKES YOU THE RIGHT FIT

  • College Degree.
  • 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment in lieu of degree
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
  • Ability to read and write & communicate in English.
  • Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred
  • A legal right to work in the United States
  • Must pass a drug screen and a background check in accordance with HWP standards.
