The Production Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervision of manufacturing employees. Communicating job completion expectations, panning, monitoring, and reviewing job results. Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Understand the manufacturing process in order to educate, coach, and teach employees of the process.
Track and monitor ship efficiencies to meet manufacturing goals and ensure production efficiencies.
Monitor and enforce safety policies and enforce quality control policies.
Provide daily work direction to staff, allocating work duties in a clear, effective manner.
Monitor employee work performance and productivity, providing useful feedback.
Train new employees on required job components and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to existing employees.
Provide input for performance evaluations and assist in preparing them as needed.
Assist in the employee selection process as assigned by the manager.
Address performance management issues or disciplinary action as necessary, with guidance and assistance from the manager.
Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate with other employees and maintain a safe working environment.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Frequently required to walk to and from various areas within the facility.
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
In some cases, work schedules or work demands may require work to be done after normal work hours or over the weekend.
Occasional business travel is required.
