Qualifications

  • Associate degree, bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience supervising a medium size team (15-25 direct reports on average)
  • Basic understanding of LEAN methodology and concepts is preferred.
  • Overall planning and execution of enhancing quality and customer service
  • Product progress reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Listens to others, confirming understanding of the content and recognizing non-verbal cues and underlying messages
  • Demonstrates a concern for accuracy and thoroughness so that sufficiently detailed information is logged correctly
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the processes for ordering, shipping, and warehousing materials to support production and satisfy demand
  • Continuously seeks new ways of working to make processes run smoother and faster
  • Understands and assembles products according to technical documentation requirements and is able to ensure quality and functional standards are met
  • Actively controls and structures use of time to most effectively accomplish work, projects, and goals
  • Resolves issues by diagnosing problems, determining possible resolutions, and implementing effective solutions
  • This role includes assignment of work for specific WWT customers. Some customers have specific on-boarding requirements, including background check and drug testing requirements that go beyond WWT’s requirements. Ability to meet these requirements may be necessary for continued employment, depending on needs of the department.

Compensation/ Benefits

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $65,200 to $81,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

A Brief Overview
Production Supervisors are responsible for directly overseeing a team of associates and/or technicians who are accountable for meeting customer demands. Sets and delegates day-to-day tasks to achieve operational objectives. Responsibilities include leading, developing, providing training/direction, coaching, and assessing team members, scheduling resources to meet deadlines, and monitoring production and work quality and coach on performance. Directly monitors daily, weekly & monthly KPIs and collaborates with team in achieving goals and objectives.



Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
  • Ensure that the operational staff is qualified and adequately trained
  • Research customer impacting issues at a level to be able to provide root cause and corrective action
  • Effectively collaborate with cross functional teams to escalate issue resolution, share production status, and other instances as required by the business and daily goals
  • Facilitate a fair and effective hiring process as required
  • Execution on customer driven requirements
  • Leading and developing a team of full-time & subcontractor diverse associates with the main focus of motivating, mentoring, and coaching them within WWT's Integrated Management Principle's and Core Values
  • Executes leadership activities (One on Ones, Employee Reviews, etc.)
  • Evaluates team members' performance and provides feedback
  • Engages their team during each shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and attendance performance
  • Promotes trust and HPT through coaching, appreciation, and recognition
  • Proactively plans for upcoming production work
  • Exercises sound judgment ensuring that SLA's and KPI targets are worked towards and met by monitoring daily, weekly and monthly production goals
  • Engaged fully with enabling policy, process, Standards and Governance
  • Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting their functional area
  • Manages escalations from Team & Customers
  • Drives collaborative activities through our operations, order operations, logistics and support teams to scale and standardize operational efficiencies
  • Works closely with support staff to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives
  • Takes proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all shifts and among the department
  • Drives the training and integration of their team, while motivating and inspiring forward progress
  • Leverages peers and associates by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans
  • Participates in recruitment activities for their perspective teams
