Whatyou’lldo

  • Perform daily safety audits to ensure team member safety. Complete problem-solving activities toeliminatesafety hazards. Escalate immediate safety concerns and incidents toSafetyteam. Actively support 5S actions within the plant.

  • Document internal and external quality issues.Discuss internal quality issues with team and complete problem-solving activities to prevent recurring internal quality issues.Escalate external quality issues toQualityteam with a sense of urgency.

  • Monitor pace of the line ensuring takt times are met. Escalate production stoppage and develop short term countermeasures. Review dailyscheduleandsequenceto ensure daily goals will be achieved.Plan for team member absences to ensure production goals will be met.

  • Review daily staffing requirements to ensure productivity goals aremaintained Perform problem solving activities toeliminatewaste and increase efficiency.

  • Track team member morale and discuss potential opportunities with team.

  • Effectively communicate change to team members.

  • Work withteamto complete rapid daily problem solving.

  • Attend improvement events and communicate resultsand action items withteam

  • Participate in interview and selection process of new team members.

  • Develop cross training plans for team members to learn all tasks within a manufacturing line.

  • Participate in and complete performance evaluations.

  • Coach and help team members understand KPI metrics and behaviors.

Whatyou’llbring

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills; at least 2 years of Production Team Leaderexperience

  • Effectively communicate with all team members, both written and verbal

  • Organizational skills

  • Must be knowledgeable anddemonstrateproficiencywith MS Word and Excel

  • Maintain the integrity of confidential business and productinformation

  • Take initiative to recognize areas of opportunity and resolve withappropriateaction

  • Identifyproblems, works towards root cause eliminationutilizingappropriate problem-solvingmethods

  • Continuously search for new and better ways of doing things; challenges the status quo and sets stretch goals; works across boundaries to achieve common goals; strives to continuously improveoneself

Preferred Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities

  • AS or BS degree in Engineering (Manufacturing), Industrial Management, Business, or comparable degrees; or equivalent experience

  • 5 years of production leadership experience

  • Formal Lean Training and supervision experience a plus

Physical Requirements of the Job

  • Ability to stand/sit for a full 10-hourshift

  • Physical Requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and/or awkwarditems

The compensation range for this position is $65k - $78k annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
