Job Description

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.  We are currently searching for a  Production Supervisor to join our team at our  Sidney Plant in  Sidney, OH This is a 3rd  shift position; 3rd  shift production hours are 10:45 PM – 6:45 AM.
What you will do:
  • Provides direct supervision to manufacturing personnel in a union environment to ensure that safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and delivery goals are met on a daily basis 
  • Participates and drives continuous improvement plans to make quality products, reduce costs, and follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) 
  • Coaches, teaches, and motivates team members to reach a common goal 
  • Investigates safety-related incidents and completes appropriate reports 
  • Analyzes manpower and equipment availability and makes appropriate adjustments to maximize productivity and minimize problems (external and internal) 
  • Completes daily reports 
  • Investigates problems and issues discipline 
  • Investigates and resolves employee complaints 
  • Maintains good housekeeping 
  • Maintains employees’ time records on a daily basis using Ceridian 
  • Other Duties as Assigned

What you will bring:
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline or equivalent experience  (3-5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment)
Travel Requirements:Limited travel (including overnight travel) may be necessary  Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, just-in-time, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting
  • Ability to resolve conflicts
  • Working knowledge of the TS16949/ISO14001 standards
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime when necessary
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen 8 hours or more per day
  • Ability to move around in office environment as needed to complete job duties. This may involve the need to climb stairs
  • Ability to move around on production floor as needed to complete job duties. This may involve the need to climb stairs or ladders
  • Must be able to fully comply with all applicable safety requirements and policies
