This position requires a self-motivated individual willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to prioritize their workload and complete tasks in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Direct, coordinate, and manage the manufacturing and shipping processes.
  • Ensure Company assets and physical plant are secure and well maintained.
  • Achieve desired results in Safety by demonstrating personal commitment and leading safety processes to sustain a safe work environment.
  • Implement and coordinate department safety education and processes in accordance with corporate best practices and policies.
  • Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage.
  • Achieve desired results in Quality by leading process reliability efforts to ensure lowest cost, best quality with high return on assets
  • Minimize waste by driving awareness, training, and accountability.
  • Participate in the machine center goal-setting process.
  • As appropriate, ensure the area of responsibility is following all appropriate environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Demonstrate understanding and appreciation for key financial drivers in the plant and how they affect the bottom line. Be fluent in calculating the various costs of decisions.
  • Possess superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and the ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting.
  • Teaching skills to function effectively as a teacher for personnel.
  • Excellent crisis manager who demonstrates that he/she has a high emotional control under adverse conditions and can lead his/her personnel to a successful resolution.
  • Excellent employee relations skills, including being an active listener, understanding how to appraise personnel, applying both positive and corrective feedback, being able to resolve conflicts either involving the supervisor directly or as a third party, and understanding and demonstrating positive motivational skills, including coaching and delegation techniques.
  • Demonstrated confidence, including providing a consistent leadership style with an acceptable level of professional assertiveness.
  • Professional appearance to support the role as a managerial representative.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Able to read and follow instructions on factory technical drawings.
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
  • Product layouts and production specifications
  • Product quality specifications
  • Quality standards

The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
