Job Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Surface Prep/Automation/Assembly
Reports to: APU Manager

The Production Supervisor plans and coordinates production activities to ensure the manufacture of
quality products in a safe, cost effective, timely manner using shift personnel, equipment, facilities,
materials, and organizational support. To work in a respectful and courteous manner. To be
accountable and responsible for all work performed.
· Work in a safe manner and maintain safe and clean work area.
· Must wear required personal protective equipment.
· Must wear seat belt and orange vest when driving a forklift truck.
· Reports all potentially unsafe conditions.
· To direct and coordinate shift personnel to produce company products in a quality, on time
and in a safe manner.
· To ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to.
· To ensure manufacturing standards, quality controls (SPC, etc.) and operating procedures
are maintained, achieved and adhered to.
· To report and assist in the resolution of all manufacturing difficulties, facilities,
equipment, materials and / or personnel problems.
· To ensure effective communications including shift carryovers.
· To ensure shift personnel are trained to perform their job to established manufacturing and
quality standards in a cost-efficient manner.
· Reconciles and approves hourly employee timecards in E-Time.
· Required to work mandatory overtime when scheduled.
· Knowledge and practice of all applicable Hutchinson’s Health, Safety, and Environmental
policies, procedures and requirements.
· Since it is impossible to foresee every situation in production needs, you may be assigned
responsibilities outside the scope of the job description to meet production needs.
· The employee will have 2 years of college or equivalent background. The employee must
have a minimum of 3-5 years experience working in automotive manufacturing.

understand the role and function of the maintenance organization in a manufacturing environment.
· Fork truck operator’s license.
· Leads the activities of a group of operators in their perspective area in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
· The employee must be able to work with and lead others in a team setting.
· The employee must be able to read and write English to understand instructions that are
given.
· Basic math and problem-solving skills required for measurement, scheduling, and tracking
metrics.
· Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of email, MS Excel, MS
Word, and AS400.
· The employee must have the ability to define problems, draw valid conclusions,
and determine a proper course of action. The employee must be able to implement necessary
solutions with little or no direct supervision adhering to company policies and practices.
· The employee will work regularly between an office and a manufacturing environment where the
use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required including safety glasses, steel toed
shoes with metatarsal guards, and hearing protection. The employee may also be required to
use a face shield, protective gloves and sleeves, fall protection harness, and hardhat depending
upon assigned work tasks.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk for
extended periods of time; bend; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and
arms; talk and hear; and regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is
occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, to climb, and lift and/or move up to 40
pounds.

· Immediately reports all Safety hazards and correct them when able to safely do so
· Participates in all required safety training, meetings, and inspections
· Uses all required PPE
· The employee must adhere to health and safety rules as asked by the supervisor and
company.
