Responsible for first-line direction of non-exempt employees involved in production, assembly, subassembly, or fabrication operations. Reviews production schedules, material, and manpower resources. Assigns employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality, and attain output requirements.

Location Griffin, Georgia

Schedule Monday - Thursday from 3:30PM to 1:30AM

  • Safety- Company targets with department goals per yearly approved KPIs.
  • Quality- Company targets with department goals per yearly approved KPIs.
  • Production- Company targets with department goals per yearly approved KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Coordinates the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and waste targets; and quality standards.
  • Monitors the volume and quality of output and adjusts tasks, timing, equipment set-up, or inputs so that production specifications are met, and resources are used efficiently.
  • Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules.
  • Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
  • Maintains a variety of reports, records, and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, and methods.
  • Supervises staff to ensure that all production tasks are performed, and all machines and equipment are operated safely.
  • Trains new workers in the organization's operating procedures and standards.

The salary range for this position is $65K – 70K. This range is a good faith estimate of what Hoshizaki America expects to pay for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED and 5 years of production/manufacturing/assembly experience including 1 year of production leadership experience.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of assembly design, parts, and processes including plastics, sheet metal brazing, molding, and finishing.
  • Knowledge of operational machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of process improvement tools (e.g., lean manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Walk for extended periods of time.
  • Maintain balance to prevent falling.
  • Hold arms and hands in one position for extended periods of time.
  • Use hands and fingers to move and assemble small parts.
  • Repetitive motions of body parts.
  • Coordinated use of hands and feet to operate equipment.
  • Carry or move materials and equipment weighing up to 51 lbs. Lift objects of various weights in different directions.
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work platforms.
  • Operate manual and powered hand tools (e.g., pneumatic rivet and staple guns; drills; drivers; and foaming guns).
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and equipment (e.g., lifts, pallet jacks, and aerial platforms).
  • Operate machinery (e.g., press brakes, refrigerant charging stations, and hoists).
  • Frequent manual labor that includes bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Squat and kneel to access materials and equipment in tight or enclosed spaces. Occasionally crawl to access equipment.
  • Handle chemicals.
  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. Communicate with others to exchange information.
  • When travel is required, visual acuity to operate motor vehicle in daytime and nighttime.
