Production, Supervisor - Night Shift

Comp Range: $61,900 - $77,400

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations while driving team performance and continuous improvement. This role ensures adherence to safety, quality, environmental, and company standards while overseeing daily production activities in processing and packaging.

The supervisor plans, organizes, and directs team efforts to meet production targets, optimize labor utilization, and control costs. Success in this role requires strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to develop people, foster teamwork, and sustain a culture of operational excellence. This position is for a 12-hour night shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all operations in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMPs, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation to meet production schedules and business needs
  • Drive labor efficiency by coordinating team activities and managing workflow, including break coverage
  • Enforce safety, quality, and environmental standards; proactively identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors
  • Monitor production performance and complete accurate, timely reporting
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance results
  • Partner cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to improve performance and resolve issues
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and process optimization
  • Maximize yields, reduce waste, and improve overall line efficiency
  • Manage inventory and approve supply needs for the assigned area
  • Maintain strong technical understanding of equipment and processes
  • Develop team capability through coaching, feedback, and performance management practices
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including corrective action and accountability standards
  • Support equipment reliability by ensuring completion of preventative maintenance activities
  • Provide hands-on operational support when needed to maintain production flow and minimize downtime

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiar with HAACP
  • Familiar with D365
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines
  • Ability to exhibit a professional business-like appearance and demeanor. Must be able to multitask and prioritize job duties
  • Be able to articulate through written communication
  • Willing to challenge or counsel individuals according to company policies.
  • Capable of open communication in order to listen to other opinions to obtain best results for production goals
  • Ability to work in elevated temperatures (hot or cold), working at heights and exposure to strong smells, dust, gases, fumes and chemical or require personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical aspects of the job as performed in an 8-hour workday.

  • Must be able to see, sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, reach, bend, twist, ascend/ descend.
  • Ability to pull, push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., 50+ lbs. with assistance.
