Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives are achieved. This role oversees workflow execution, production scheduling, documentation control, inventory coordination, equipment maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence. The incumbent partners closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Management teams to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Production Operations & Scheduling
• Coordinate and prioritize daily and weekly manufacturing activities to meet customer delivery commitments and production targets.
• Monitor production schedules and workflow to ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Communicate production status, schedule changes, and operational challenges to key stakeholders.
• Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and throughput.

Manufacturing Leadership
• Assign and coordinate work activities to support production objectives and operational requirements.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to production personnel.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
• Support employee training and development initiatives to maintain workforce capability and compliance.

Quality & Compliance
• Ensure production activities comply with company quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Review manufacturing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Support investigation and resolution of nonconforming materials and products.
• Maintain compliance with document control requirements and manufacturing procedures.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Operations
• Lead and sustain 5S workplace organization initiatives throughout manufacturing areas.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Inventory & Materials Coordination
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to support uninterrupted production.
• Assist with sourcing production tools, equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Support management of discontinued inventory and product archival activities.

Equipment & Facility Support
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain equipment repair and maintenance records.
• Support evaluation and implementation of new equipment, tools, and manufacturing technologies.

Administrative Responsibilities
• Compile and analyze manufacturing data and production reports.
• Prepare operational documentation and records.
• Support purchase requisition and procurement processes as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• High School degree, diploma or a GED required
• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Business, Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or production operations experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, or ERP systems preferred.
