Production Supervisor

Location: Shannon

What are your main tasks?

  • · Direct and supervise production employees on assigned shift to ensure daily production goals are achieved.

    · Plan, organize, and prioritize production activities to meet customer delivery requirements.

    · Monitor production performance, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization, implementing corrective actions as needed.

    · Promote and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices while maintaining a safe work environment.

    · Ensure all quality standards, work instructions, control plans, and customer requirements are consistently followed.

    · Respond to quality concerns by containing issues, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.

    · Coordinate work assignments, overtime, and employee scheduling to meet production demands.

    · Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals, safety topics, quality concerns, and operational updates.

    · Coach, mentor, and develop employees through ongoing feedback, training, and performance management.

    · Address employee attendance, conduct, and performance concerns in accordance with company policies.

    · Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations, disciplinary actions, investigations, and staffing activities.

    · Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.

    · Maintain accurate production documentation, shift reports, attendance records, and operational metrics.

    · Collaborate with Maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure timely repairs.

    · Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Logistics departments to resolve production issues.

    · Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.

    · Monitor inventory usage and report material shortages or production constraints.

    · Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, customer-specific requirements, and company procedures.

    · Participate in audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    · Perform other duties as assigned.

What are your qualifications?

  • · High school diploma or GED required.
  • · Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • · Three to five years of manufacturing experience required.
  • · Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • · Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • · Experience working in an IATF 16949 manufacturing environment preferred.
  • · Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • · Ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
  • · Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • · Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
  • · Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • · Understanding of production scheduling and manufacturing processes.
  • · Ability to analyze production metrics and make data-driven decisions.
  • · Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • · Experience using ERP or manufacturing systems preferred.
  • · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • · Strong organizational and time management skills.
