About the opportunity

You will be responsible for coordinating the production and assembly teams to ensure safe manufacture and packaging of quality steel frames and components. You will report to the Production Manager and be part of a collaborative team where your continuous improvement ideas are valued, and your professional growth is supported. More specifically, you will:

•Champion a safety-first culture at the Edinburgh Supaloc factory workforce
•Ensure a solid pipeline of talent via our internal recruitment team and labour hire agency to minimize interruptions to production schedules
•Lead, coach and develop the workforce to excel and grow, supporting skill-development efforts
•Manage all activities within the scope of the role by through effective communication, planning, monitoring, and appraisal of resources
•Ensure workforce activities comply with current site EBA requirements.
•Execute weekly production plans with a focus on minimising waste and stoppages
•Drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
•Ensure optimum use of the D365 system in production, inventory, ETS and production order management

About you

•Proven leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role
•Positive, proactive attitude, drive for excellence
•The ability to foster a positive workplace culture with a commitment to driving safety initiatives
•Experience in a manufacturing/production environment or trade/mechanical background
•A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•Familiarity with lean methodologies
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach
•Desirable experience in roll forming, light gauge metal rolling-forming-punching, hydraulics, metal fabrication
