We’re hiring a Production Supervisor at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

The Production Supervisor owns shift-level execution of the production schedule for an assigned line or area. This role ensures safety, quality, and output targets are met daily and serves as the first point of escalation for line-level issues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities for assigned shift/line, ensuring schedule attainment and safe operation
  • Lead and coach Team Leads, providing direction on staffing, work assignments, and daily priorities
  • Monitor line performance (scrap, downtime) and take corrective action to resolve issues in real time
  • Enforce safety procedures and conduct safety walks, near-miss reporting
  • Partner with quality to address defects, non-conformances, and containment activities on the floor
  • Manage attendance, timekeeping, and daily staffing adjustments (call-offs, overtime, line balancing)
  • Communicate shift handoff information clearly to the incoming supervisor/shift
  • Support changeovers, new product introductions, and engineering trials on the line
  • Escalate material shortages, equipment downtime, or resource constraints to the Production Manager and support functions
  • Conduct performance feedback and coaching conversations with Team Leads and hourly staff
  • Ensure compliance with standard work, work instructions, and ISO 9001 requirements on the shift
  • Participate in daily production meetings (tier meetings) and report shift performance

Skills & Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S, standard work, visual management)
    • Experience with production tracking systems (MES/ERP) and basic data analysis
    • Strong understanding of safety procedures and quality standards on a production floor
    • Ability to lead and motivate hourly staff and Team Leads in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong problem-solving skills for real-time line issues
    • Hands-on, floor-based leadership style
    • Strong real-time problem-solving under production pressure
    • Clear communicator across shifts and functions
    • Able to balance people management with production output demands.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • At least 7 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 1-2 years in a leadership or team lead role, in automotive, heavy equipment, or discrete manufacturing

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to stand and walk on a concrete shop floor for up to 8–10 hours per day.
    • Ability to climb into truck beds, vans, and trailers to perform internal inspections.
    • Must be able to lift between 30-50 lbs
    • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
