As a Production Supervisor (ICM), you will lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations on the shop floor, ensuring production targets, schedule adherence, quality standards, and safety compliance are consistently achieved. This role serves as a first-line leader, driving workforce efficiency while supporting operational excellence.


Our Team

You will be part of the Production team within Molex Malaysia, working closely with operators, technicians, and cross-functional teams including maintenance and support functions. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth execution of manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives across the shop floor.


What You Will Do

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure output targets are achieved
  • Monitor production performance and ensure adherence to planned schedules
  • Allocate manpower efficiently and manage shift operations effectively
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and production specifications
  • Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and disruptions
  • Enforce workplace safety rules and promote a safe working environment
  • Lead, train, and motivate production operators and technicians
  • Conduct daily briefings and clearly communicate production goals and expectations
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team on equipment upkeep and troubleshooting
  • Monitor machine performance and drive optimal utilization
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on output, yield, scrap, and downtime
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Working knowledge of inventory and material control processes
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, PDCA)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto)
  • Knowledge of cost control and waste reduction practices
  • Hands-on experience with 8D reporting and quality control tools
