Position: Production Supervisor

Location: Lumentum Thailand, Navanakorn – Pathum Thani
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager

We are seeking a hands-on and results-oriented Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and frontline production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards while maintaining a highly engaged and productive workforce. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production activities, manpower allocation, process compliance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, manufacturing operations experience, and the ability to effectively manage people, processes, and performance in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations Management

  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets.

  • Monitor production output and ensure adherence to production schedules and customer requirements.

  • Manage manpower allocation, staffing levels, and shift assignments to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Ensure production processes are executed according to standard operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse, and other support functions to resolve production issues.

  • Escalate operational challenges and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.

  • Monitor key production KPIs and drive performance improvement actions.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop production operators and team leaders.
    Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production priorities, safety updates, and operational objectives.

  • Manage employee performance, attendance, discipline, and workforce engagement.

  • Support employee development through on-the-job coaching and skill enhancement activities.

  • Foster a positive working environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Support workforce planning and succession development initiatives.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with EHS requirements, company policies, and workplace safety regulations.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees follow all safety procedures.
    Monitor product quality and process compliance to meet customer and business requirements.

  • Support investigations of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, RBA requirements, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and compliance assessments as required.

Production Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive productivity improvement, waste reduction, and operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for production, quality, and operational issues.

  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement programs.
    Identify opportunities to improve workflow, equipment utilization, and production processes.

  • Participate in process improvement and operational excellence projects.

Training & Workforce Development

  • Ensure all operators receive required job training and certification before performing assigned tasks.

  • Support onboarding and training of new employees.

  • Maintain training compliance and support workforce skill development activities.

  • Partner with Manufacturing Training and HR teams to ensure workforce readiness and capability development.

  • Promote cross-training initiatives to improve workforce flexibility and operational continuity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, optical technology, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    Knowledge of production operations, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and workplace safety standards.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    Good command of English communication.

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily in a manufacturing production environment.

  • Regular interaction with operators, technicians, engineers, and manufacturing support teams.
