Job Description

Winpak Control Group Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing Team based out of Norwood, New Jersey.

In this role, the Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations across the production floor, including the press room, slitting, and inspection areas. This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality products that meet internal and customer requirements while driving operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement across current and future production needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations across press room, slitting, and inspection areas, ensuring safety, efficiency, and consistent quality output.
  • Drive execution of production plans in alignment with operational goals, working closely with the Manufacturing Manager and senior leadership.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, material utilization, and cost efficiency.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process, technology, and workflow improvements to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Supervise, train, and develop production staff while fostering accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement culture.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide timely coaching, feedback, and leadership development support.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, regulatory, and company policy requirements, maintaining accurate training and safety records.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and lead resolution of production disruptions to minimize downtime.
  • Manage operational priorities, communicate expectations clearly, and ensure consistent execution of policies and procedures across teams.
  • Support budgeting, cost control initiatives, and resource optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve quarterly and annual operational targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic operational planning.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of industry-related manufacturing or production experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an assertive and clear communication style.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration across departments.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supervising multi-functional production areas (e.g., press, slitting, inspection).
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in training program development and workforce capability building.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or similar methodologies.

Additional Details

  • This position is for Day shift
  • This role is 100% onsite
  • Production floor conditions may include noise, heights, temperature changes, and working around equipment.

Wage Range: $33–$37
