Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift for our Farmington Hills, MI manufacturing operation. In this role, you will lead daily production activities and team performance while supporting safe, efficient operations, product quality, workflow consistency, and continuous improvement.

  • Location: Farmington Hills, MI
  • Work Arrangement: On-site
  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Pay: $75,000-$85,000 per year, depending on skills and experience
  • Employment Type: Full-time / Salary

What You'll Do as a Production Supervisor

  • Lead the production team responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality checks, and packaging goods for shipment, providing guidance, coaching, training, and ongoing support.
  • Monitor production output and team performance to meet established targets for quantity, quality, efficiency, and production deadlines.
  • Coordinate work processes across shifts and departments, partnering with production planning to help ensure appropriate staffing and materials are available to meet operational requirements.
  • Oversee inventory levels within the assigned production area to support production needs while avoiding shortages, excess inventory, and unnecessary delays.
  • Proactively identify equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering teams when repairs or preventive maintenance are needed to minimize production downtime.
  • Oversee quality control checks and collaborate with quality assurance teams to help ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies and reinforce 5S principles—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—to support a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Encourage and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and complete required production documentation accurately and on time, including shift reports, inventory logs, and safety audits.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery operations, and quality control practices.
  • Familiarity with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
