Production Supervisor

Lake Country, British Columbia

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Lake Country Division located in Lake Country, British Columbia Our Lake Country Division remanufactures different types of wood packaging including bins, crates, and pallets as well as specialty trimming and sizing of plywood and solid wood.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• A strong commitment to safety, quality, lumber recovery, and production efficiency
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a lumber manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts
• Experience in building and developing a positive team environment.
• Post-secondary education in forestry, sawmill business or industrial wood processing is considered an asset.

In this role, you will:

• Live the Tolko values with an emphasis on safety, respect, progressiveness, integrity, open communication and profit.
• Develop and empower your team to deliver results.
• Provide direction and leadership to a production crew.
• Ensure production targets and schedules are met as forecasted by monitoring production schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Ensure efficiency and quality in lumber products manufacturing.
• Promote a culture of safety by ensuring work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures and that risks are identified and mitigated.
• Build strong labor relations and maintain effective communication.
