About the Role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role partners closely with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to drive productivity, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor helps maintain operational excellence by overseeing daily production activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, automotive, logistics, or related industrial environment
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, union representatives, and cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and production management principles
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining positive employee relations
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to operational and customer needs
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Dependable attendance and flexibility to support overtime and vacation coverage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management systems
  • Ability to utilize OSR/HMI systems to support production and customer delivery requirements.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or Team Lead experience
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of GM, FTA, Penske, LLP, and customer operational requirements
  • Experience with inventory control, FIFO processes, and Min/Max inventory management
  • Continuous improvement and cost-reduction experience
  • Experience with incident investigations and corrective action processes
  • Advanced proficiency with production management systems and reporting tools

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional leadership, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain training preferred

Travel:

Minimal travel required.
