Production Supervisor (2nd shift)
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading manufacturing activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role oversees production performance and team execution to support product quality, operational readiness, and continuous workflow. The supervisor ensures that production goals are achieved while maintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee production workforce.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, downtime, and waste.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members, providing direction, training, and performance feedback
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and attendance standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance
• Responsible for supervising and leading a unionized workforce in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
• Maintain accurate production records to support compliance and audit requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager/supervisor
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food/beverage, or related environment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Work Environment
• Manufacturing/plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and cleaning chemicals.
• Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
