Responsibilities

Mission Linen Supply is currently accepting online applications for Production Staff Production Staff are responsible for industrial laundry production flow activities under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager of the operating plant.

No prior industrial laundry experience is required. A high school diploma or GED is required, and experience working with plant equipment or machinery is a plus but not required. If you're reliable, hard-working, and ready to learn, we'll train you on the rest.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate press equipment
  • Process laundry in plant-established lot order
  • Maintain production floor distribution
  • Shake, sort by route, and sequence by route while laying out items prior to pressing
  • Classify and lay out items for pressing (for example, industrial shirts versus executive dress shirts)
  • Separate soil pick-up tickets
  • Check items for needed repairs
  • Lift garments and/or linen onto the line storage system
  • Trolley garments and/or linen for truck pick-up
  • Load trollies into trailers
  • Ensure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times
  • Additional duties as assigned

Compensation

  • Starting pay: $16.90/hour, based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience working with plant equipment/machinery highly desired, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25–50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs as outlined in the Physical Demands below

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear; frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
