Job Description

Join us as a Production Specialist – Front Office

  • We’re looking for an experienced Production Specialist to support production management across our front office platforms, ensuring stability, availability and resilience in line with business expectations
  • This is a highly collaborative and fast-paced role which will see you working closely with global platform and domain stakeholders to ensure the robustness and resilience of the platform
  • In this hands-on role you’ll be supporting the bank’s Market Data and Venue Connectivity Systems for our critical low-latency e-Trading platforms

What you’ll do

This will be a dynamic front office facing role within our trading environment, requiring collaboration as part of a global follow-the-sun support model starting with Singapore at 6am SGT. You’ll be working on the trading floor directly interacting with Trading and Sales solving time-sensitive technical and business issues


You’ll also be:

  • Supporting incident and problem management, ensuring production stability meets the appropriate quality standards
  • Supporting delivery of application management and application support along with any requested local business enhancements
  • Proactively monitoring the system health before APAC business start to help with early detection and response to limit business impact
  • Working as hands-on SRE to drive automation, toil reduction, observability and other strategic initiatives
  • Collaborating with platform teams to understand the upcoming changes, helping with rolling-out of those changes including on weekends
  • Contribute to our Cloud journey
  • Identifying areas for service improvement by analysing and diagnosing re-occurring platform and service incidents, as well as customer and stakeholder feedback
  • Leading business delivery in the region/global by working actively with the front office business, understanding and analysing business requirements and delivery
  • Expected to work in the office at least three times per week

The skills you'll need

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience supporting trading platforms with understanding of complex trading platforms including electronic trading
  • 5+ years experience of working on the trading floor closely with front office
  • Hands-on experience of supporting Market Data and Venue Connectivity systems
  • Exposure of working with low-latency electronic trading systems
  • Excellent coding/scripting skills using Python, Java, SQL
  • Excellent automation and troubleshooting skills across UNIX and Windows platforms
  • Hands-on experience of observability using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Corvil, Splunk, Geneos etc
  • Hands-on experience of new and emerging technologies such as: Cloud and Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience in FX/FI Markets: pricing, trading, risk management. With understanding of products such as Spot, Fwd, Options and NDF’s in FX and Bonds/Swaps in FI
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

Desirable

  • Technical certifications in areas such GCP, RPA, Python etc
  • Excellent customer relationship and influencing skills and experience in creating strong partnerships with key stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
