Your future job

As a Production Specialist, you will focus on offline technical activities to ensure stable manufacturing equipment in terms of availability, performance, and efficiency. Acting as the primary technical expert for specific equipment type(s) or domain(s), you will drive advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the implementation of robust improvement actions to elevate the overall technical capability within the manufacturing area.

More specifically, you will focus on four main areas:

Technical Expertise & Maintenance Operations::

  • Preventive Maintenance: Focus on offline complex preventive activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Equipment & Zone Ownership: Serve as an expert technician on specific handler types or zones, while maintaining a basic technical understanding of other production zones.
  • Long-Term Strategy: Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies and operational improvements to minimize equipment downtime and optimize
  • long-term production efficiency, anticipating potential issues several months in advance.

Technical Support & Quality Control:

  • Root Cause Analysis & Improvements: Introduce machine improvements and root cause analysis to solve complex issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Escalation Path: Act as the technical escalation path for Technicians (TNs) on complex issues.
  • Quality Gate: Serve as the quality gate for handler interventions performed by the TN team.

Capability Elevation & Collaboration:

  • Expert Technical Training: Provide advanced training to technical profiles in an efficient way and follow up on learning results to elevate overall technical capability.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments and suppliers to align on technical solutions and process improvements.

Standards & Systems Management:

  • Quality & Automotive Standards: Apply working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001, as well as relevant customer requirements, in daily operations and work instructions.
  • Data & Monitoring Systems: Actively read, interpret, and work with data/warehouse systems and monitoring systems to track performance and quality.

Your profile

  • Education & Experience: Relevant Bachelor's degree OR Technician qualification with around 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Core Technical Competencies: Expert knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, and mechanics, alongside medium working skills with manufacturing set-ups and understanding of product flows.
  • Quality & Operational Standards: Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 and automotive customer requirements; ability to read and apply work instructions related to manufacturing.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Mindset: Analytical, logical, and interpretive mindset for complex technical data, using high technical thinking and prevention techniques to guarantee quality & productivity.
  • Tools & Adjustments: Ability to use all necessary job-related tools and make precise manual adjustments.
  • Mentoring & Communication: Basic knowledge of technical coaching principles, good communication, team collaboration, and targeted mentoring skills.
  • Digital Literacy: Good knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace and monitoring/warehouse data tools.
  • Language: Good understanding of English.
