Guardian Glass is seeking you to become our next Production Shift Supervisor – Coating Line at our Glass Coating Operations in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

As a Production Shift Supervisor, you will lead a rotating shift team of operators and technicians on our coating production lines. You will help deliver safe, reliable, high-quality production by setting clear expectations, coaching the team, maintaining operating discipline, and ensuring daily priorities are achieved.

This role requires strong shop-floor leadership, practical manufacturing experience, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, planning, warehouse, and EHS teams to resolve issues and improve performance.

Our Team

You will join the Guardian Glass RAK Coater Operations team, working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, uptime, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Our supervisors play a key role in building teamwork, coaching employees, supporting problem solving, and ensuring smooth communication between shifts and support teams.

What You Will Do

  • Lead shift operations to meet safety, quality, production, and delivery goals.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with EHS requirements, safe work practices, PPE, and equipment isolation procedures.
  • Supervise daily coating line activities, including start-up, shutdown, product changeovers, process checks, inspection, packaging coordination, and shift handover.
  • Monitor production performance, quality results, downtime, scrap, and team performance; take timely action when standards are not met.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, planning, warehouse, and EHS teams to resolve operational issues and improve line reliability.
  • Coach, train, and develop operators and technicians through clear expectations, feedback, and on-the-job support.
  • Ensure accurate shift reporting, production records, downtime updates, quality observations, and timely escalation of safety, quality, or equipment concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee capability.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Previousexperience in manufacturing, continuous process operations, glass processing, coating, automotive, solar, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Proven experience leading, supervising, or coordinating operators, technicians, or shift teams.
  • Strong practical understanding of production equipment, process control, quality standards, troubleshooting, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to use production reports, quality data, downtime information, and KPIs to guide daily decisions and improve performance.
  • Experience leading safe work practices in an industrial environment, including permits, PPE, hazard identification, and equipment isolation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead shift meetings, give feedback, complete handovers, and coordinate across departments.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern, including day and night shifts.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in glass manufacturing, coating lines, thin-film coating, vacuum coating, mirror coating, or similar high-precision production processes.
  • Experience with production systems, dashboards, downtime tracking, quality reporting, or structured problem-solving tools.
  • Experience supporting maintenance activities, planned shutdowns, equipment readiness, or reliability improvement work.
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, productivity, cost, or team capability in a manufacturing environment.
