
Production Scheduler – Monterrey Network Location: Monterrey, Mexico Function: Supply Chain / Manufacturing Planning Reports to: Planning Leader Role Purpose The Production Scheduler is responsible for transforming mid- to short-term production plans into a detailed, executable manufacturing schedule across the Monterrey Network. This role ensures optimal sequencing of production orders, maximizes line efficiency, and enables on-time delivery by balancing capacity, material availability, and operational constraints. The position plays a critical role in maintaining daily operational stability, acting as a key interface between Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Scheduling & Execution Develop and maintain the detailed short-term production schedule (daily/weekly) for all manufacturing lines. Sequence production orders considering: Line capacity and constraints Changeovers and campaign strategies Material availability Operational rules and priorities Continuously adjust schedules to respond to real-time deviations (e.g., downtime, shortages, quality issues). 2. Capacity Optimization Maximize line utilization while minimizing inefficiencies such as: Changeover losses Idle time Bottlenecks Optimize sequencing logic to improve overall manufacturing performance. 3. Cross-Functional Alignment Collaborate closely with: Material Planning to ensure raw material availability Manufacturing Teams for execution alignment Maintenance to plan around downtime windows Quality to ensure compliance and product release Lead or actively participate in daily/weekly scheduling meetings. 4. Issue Management & Escalation Identify risks to schedule execution, including: Material shortages Capacity constraints Operational disruptions Proactively escalate critical issues and propose mitigation scenarios. Support prioritization decisions to protect service levels. 5. Systems & Data Management Maintain accurate production schedules within planning systems (e.g., SAP, APS tools, Excel-based models). Ensure data integrity for: Cycle times Capacities Routing and sequencing constraints Generate and analyze reports on schedule performance. 6. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Track key performance indicators (KPIs): Schedule adherence Line utilization Service impact (OTIF) Identify improvement opportunities in scheduling processes and tools. Contribute to continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations. Experience in multi-line or complex manufacturing environments preferred. Technical Skills Strong understanding of: Production scheduling and sequencing Capacity planning and constraints management End-to-end supply chain processes Advanced proficiency in: Excel ERP systems (SAP preferred) Planning tools (APS systems are a plus) Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to make decisions under pressure in fast-paced environments Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication High level of organization and prioritization skills Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability Success Measures Production schedule adherence (%) Line utilization (%) Reduction in changeover losses OTIF impact and service level performance Responsiveness to operational disruptions Why Join Us?
