What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of manufacturing supplies and parts.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Background in scheduling preferred.
  • Understanding of Extrusion process with preferred Extrusion experience of 3+ years.
  • Above average Oracle skills.
  • Above average computer skills and Excel knowledge.
  • Have a desire for cross functional development and future advancement.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure all safety requirements are followed while performing all required work activities.
  • Ensure orders are scheduled to meet process start date requirements to support plant On Time Delivery goals. Following all Scheduling SOPs. Support improvement in recovery, uptime and first time complete thru SOP adherence and understanding of current system health.
  • Identify problems and intervene when needed to ensure counter measures are in place to ensure orders flow through the operation as planned.
  • Complete daily reporting process such as morning press condition, log availability, resource planning, staffing reviews, late order status, attainment processes as well as the use of departmental tools that provide visibility of the overall system health and provide insight into prioritization of resources and orders as examples. Ensure job router bins are updated and routers are properly stored based on system design.
  • Provide feedback to department leadership regarding staffing, material and work availability issues to ensure proper prioritization of work occurs. Identify and participate in continuous improvement activities as they arise with continued focus on improving SCM services.
  • Complete cross training in all SCM processes. Provide flexible overtime coverage for planned and unplanned time off as needed.
  • Need to have the ability to be a self-starter and work both independently and with others to meet role expectations.
