JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
PSLC is responsible for Production Line Planning, FG Warehouse & Logistics Planning, FG Inventory Management which includes Data integrity and SOP Development.  This includes development, preparing and publishing production schedules to direct operational activities that achieves efficient & effective output.  Along with the coordination of inventory management across warehousing and transportation activity.  Utilizing developed KPI’s and inputs from 1) Procurement 2) Production 3) Customer Service 4) Sales 5) Warehouse and other functions to optimize Supply Chain, addressing problems as they arise.  This role will be critical in identifying and implementing process improvements on a continuous basis for Production, Warehouse & Logistics, Inventory Management and SOP Development.
Essential Functions

- Production Planning
- - Performs weekly detailed inventory analysis to determine production needs.
- - Plans, coordinates and publishes production schedule for IQF, VA and Freeze-Dried items.
- - Develops and prioritizes the production schedule to include details on all special product requirements (.i.e., grade, input material) needed to meet customer requirements.
- - Lead daily production review meetings.
- - Provides administrative support to production planning process, including:
- Maintains work order listings in databases and closes out work orders as they are completed.
- Prepares documentation for Old and Hold meeting.
- Maintenance updates for production run rates and critical capacity planning information.
- SOP documentation creation.
- Warehouse & Logistics Planning
- - Performs weekly inventory replenishment assessments to determine warehouse replenishment needs.
- - Coordinate transportation with carriers after determining appropriate product mix for 3PL inventory transfers to maintain continuity in sales operations.
- - Posts and matches all transfers to outside distribution warehouses, while reconciling 3PL inventory for month end closing.
- - Request 3rd party audits for QA records, 3PL annual physical inventory counts and frequent cycle counts.
- - Support cost reduction or cost avoidance initiatives that relate to transportation, warehousing or inventory areas.
- Inventory Management
- - Validate inbound/outbound inventory at SHF, USCS and satellite CSW. (lbs, qty, lot, exp date)
- - Reconciles all warehouse inventories on a regular basis and for transfers inbetween.
- - Point person for FG cycle counts at SHF, USCS and satellite CSW.
- - Coordinates annual physical inventory for FG at all warehouses.
- - Other duties as assigned.

- 1-3 years of combined experience in related areas
- Bachelor's Degree relative to position or combination of related education, experience and certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of functions and departments process
- Fundamental understanding of MRP/ERP systems
- Strong PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
