Production Room Technician
Norcross, GA

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Production Room Technician to join our growing team in Norcross, GA. This hybrid role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in telecommunications, wireless communications, and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will support Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), wireless networks, RF and IPTV systems while also participating in the assembly, configuration, testing, and deployment of network infrastructure components. This position offers hands-on experience with wireless technologies, fiber and copper networks, RF systems, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and production operations. The ideal candidate is technically inclined, organized, customer-focused, and eager to learn emerging telecommunications technologies.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan and execute production activities for RF, IPTV, fiber, copper, and data network components.
  • Construct, assemble, and perform preliminary configuration of core network cabinets and communication systems.
  • Maintain controlled, efficient, and quality-focused workflows within the production room environment.
  • Assist with testing, staging, labeling, packaging, and shipment preparation of network equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and production efficiencies.
  • Maintain production room safety, organization, cleanliness, and inventory accuracy.
  • Document build, test, and shipping procedures while tracking production KPIs.
  • Communicate production schedules and project status updates with the Production Room Manager and Operations teams.
  • Assist project operations and field installation teams as needed.

DAS/Wireless Network Support

  • Monitor DAS and wireless network systems for performance issues, alarms, and service interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot DAS, RF, wireless, connectivity, and coverage-related issues.
  • Respond to network alarms, incidents, and customer trouble tickets in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic RF analysis and identify network performance concerns.
  • Maintain network documentation, incident reports, and corrective action records.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers, field technicians, carriers, and vendors to resolve network issues.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and system health checks.

What you’ll bring:

  • Technical certification, military experience, or relevant experience in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of wireless communications, cellular technologies, networking concepts, and RF fundamentals.
  • Experience or familiarity with DAS, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, IPTV, CATV, or telecommunications systems preferred.
  • Understanding of fiber optic and copper-based network technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of LTE, 5G, Public Safety DAS, and wireless carrier network environments.
  • Experience with commercial-grade networking equipment, switches, routers, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with CATV components, RG6 cabling, satellite amplifiers, RF meters, and signal testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring systems, ticketing platforms, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Industry certifications such as:

    • CWNA
    • CompTIA Network+
    • CompTIA A+
    • CCENT/CCNA
    • CFOT
    • CFOT/S
    • CFOS/S

Notes about this role:

You must be able to work flexible hours, and extended hours as needed to meet production deadlines.

You’ll use your hands to type, use power tools. You’ll stand, walk, reach with arms and hands and due to the need to review client sites, may have to step over, climb or balance around obstacles, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Our equipment can be heavy, you’ll need to lift up to 50 lbs.
