Job Description

The Production Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. In-depth understanding of key business drivers, like FPY, and use of this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how his work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Your Tasks

• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable procedures.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and support final product release.
• Drive investigations of quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality KPIs (e.g., FPY, scrap, rework rates) to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
• Support process qualification to ensure manufacturing processes remain capable and controlled.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) to resolve quality concerns.
• Prepare quality documentation, reports, and performance analyses using SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
• Act as a technical quality interface for internal stakeholders and external customers.

Your Profile

• Technical apprenticeship combined with a degree as an Engineer or Technician (BSc/FH/HF) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in Production Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to precisely evaluate complex mechanical interdependencies within moving parts during GIS assembly.
• Proven methodological expertise in "Root Cause Analysis" (RCA) and quality tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA) to sustainably identify and resolve underlying issues.
• Solution-oriented approach with a rapid grasp of technical challenges, specifically focused on minimizing production downtime.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in SAP and Power BI is highly desirable.
• Experience within high-voltage equipment, Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), or other switchgear products is an advantage.
• Independent and structured working style with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in German and English, with negotiation-level proficiency in both languages.
