Production Planning Manager
The production planning manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production planning and control processes within the manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring optimal production schedules, validating inventory levels, facilitating efficient workflow to meet production targets and customer demands through efficient warehouse processes and effective cycle count strategy.
Oversee and mentor the Production Planning Group to ensure a high level of proficiency and development.
Lead the team to identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, coordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues.
Pursue the development of scheduling tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the Scheduling function.
Provide guidance and expertise to develop plant team knowledge relative to plant schedule optimization.
Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
Collaborate with FG Planning, RM Planning and Operations to align production plans to business objectives and limitations.
Monitor operations execution to ensure finished goods inventory for its availability while minimizing excess stock.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
Analyze production KPIs and performance to recommend changes.
Ensure material flow in and out of facility and warehouse.
Inventory accuracy and cycle counts.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field. Previous Experience
5 to 8 years in production planning and control in manufacturing environments. Proven experience leading teams. Experience in the automotive industry or high-volume manufacturing is desirable. Languages
Advanced English (essential).
