Develop and maintain production schedules across multiple manufacturing processes and equipment, including formulation, filtration, aseptic filling, packaging, labeling, and BioCoat operations.
Lead the weekly allocation process to identify and manage deviations from the Revision Zero production plan. Adjust schedules and priorities based on capacity constraints, customer requirements, and Value Stream inputs.
Review, verify, and resolve issues related to production order closure, including material consumption adjustments, system transactions, and initiation of quality events when required. Collaborate with Finance to ensure inventory and financial variances are properly understood, documented, and resolved.
Proactively identify and escalate scheduling constraints, capacity limitations, or operational roadblocks that could impact customer commitments or production targets.
Maintain the Batch Tracker system with accurate and up-to-date information, including release dates, work order status, quality control status, and shipping status. Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, scheduling, and allocation processes by applying Lean principles, including Value Stream Mapping, Flow, Pull Systems, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
Comply with all safety requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP regulations, company policies, and documentation practices. Complete all required records and documentation in accordance with GDP and GMP standards.
Support cross-functional projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management, including resolution of complex operational and business challenges.
Support day-to-day production planning and scheduling activities by evaluating schedule adherence, responding to operational changes, and implementing necessary plan adjustments to maintain alignment between Planning priorities and Value Stream execution. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to address constraints, resolve issues, and ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
English proficiency at a minimum B1 level (intermediate).
Working knowledge of manufacturing and production planning processes.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
Experience working with business systems and applications, including ERP systems, Power BI, data analysis tools, document control systems (e.g., Windchill, MasterControl), and related manufacturing applications.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address dynamic operational and cross-functional challenges.
Ability to develop and execute effective production planning and scheduling strategies.
Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Production Planning, Scheduling, Operations Planning, or a related field.
Some experience within a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences industry experience is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM field required; candidates with at least 90% of degree coursework completed may be considered
