The Production planner reports directly to the planning manager and works closely with the planning manager, production manager, QA, technical department and order administration.
At BC level, works together with customer care for ordering liquid chocolates, and with the solid planning team for intercompany productions.
Externally works together with different international suppliers of liquid chocolate (general communication, ordering chocolate, problem solving), providing production slots to tolling partners.
Daily monitoring of the stock of raw materials & timely ordering / calling off the various raw materials.
Follow up and strive for optimization of the stock of finished products in order to keep the stock as low as possible.
Studying the feasibility of the orders.
Determine the capacity and availability of means of production, materials, ...
Making the production planning based on what the customer/tolling partner needs.
Daily follow-up of the planned productions, the quantities actually produced and adjustments where necessary.
Constantly improving planning based on the real time situation with respect for our frozen schedule (schedule frozen for next week).
Planning based problem solving if necessary (supplier can’t deliver on time, delays in production, technical problems,...)
Monitor whether the predetermined production speeds are being achieved and make adjustments if necessary.
Supervising staff and production to ensure they work according to the right standards.
Be a point of contact for the staff (if we can answer the question ourselves we will, otherwise we will forward them to the right person)
Participating in the monthly closing.
As a Production Scheduler you make the planning based on customer needs. You work closely together with the planning manager, production manager, QA, the technical department and order administration. The production scheduler is responsible for the daily monitoring of the stock of raw materials and determines the capacity and availability in means of production.
