About the position

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production plans to ensure optimal factory performance, material availability, and customer service levels. The role coordinates closely with Production, Procurement, Customer Service, Supply Planning, Logistics, Suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of production schedules and product deliveries. The Production Planner plays a critical role in balancing supply and demand, managing production changes, ensuring raw material availability, and supporting continuous operational efficiency across the manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the two-week production plan, coordinating schedule changes based on material availability and operational requirements.
  • Liaise with the refinery to monitor oil inventory levels and build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries of oils.
  • Work closely with various departments and teams, such as customer service, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate all activities related to kosher production requirements and communicate any production activities through the relevant online platform
  • Collaborate with the mid-term planning team and Customer Service to align production schedules with demand and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and update production routings in the system.
  • Prepare weekly ZBW and OR/VC reports.
  • Open purchase orders (POs) and monitor material deliveries against production requirements
  • Prepare month-end production volume estimates and weekly volume forecasts.
  • Create and close production orders in the system.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • Experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning or Supply Chain Operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek, English and with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft excel and Power Point
  • Advanced knowledge of the most important ERP and planning systems. SAP Knowledge will be a plus.
