What will you do?

The Column Production Planner will oversee all production activities under the direction of the Distillation Process Manager. Duties include creating and managing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products, optimizing resource allocation (labor, materials, equipment), maintaining organized inventory level and final product blend tracking, and coordinating with various departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

This role partners closely with operations, commercial teams, and shift leads to assign work, schedule equipment usage, maintain consistent feedstock flow, and coordinate final product blends.

The planner analyzes demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to optimize production schedules and proactively communicates potential stock shortages or excess. They collaborate with logistics to manage inbound and outbound transportation and address scheduling risks before they impact customers.

This position supports the implementation and improvement of tracking systems to maintain accurate records and full product traceability. The role also monitors key performance metrics such as on-time delivery and schedule adherence, driving continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

The planner promotes a safe, professional, and team-focused work environment while ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO 9001, and internal quality standards. Responsibilities include preparing blend documentation, maintaining production records, preventing cross-contamination, and ensuring all products meet regulatory and customer specifications.

Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, economics or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in supply chain planning, production, network planning, logistics with a proven understanding of production planning or manufacturing operations or equivalent experience
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on production metrics
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
• Clear and concise communication with cross-functional departments to coordinate production activities
• A sound understanding of regulated systems such as ISO 9000 and 14000
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams
• Experience in handling and setting budgets and financial performance parameters
• Ability to obtain EPA 608 Certification within 3-months of employment

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Gas Chromatography
• Experience with Chemical Blending and Transferring
• Previous experience working with distillation columns
• Previous experience managing product blends
