The role…
The Packer is responsible for preparing, packing, labeling, and staging finished products while ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the process. This role works closely with Production and Shipping to support efficient operations while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and housekeeping.
How you’ll make an impact…
• Prepare, stage, pack, label, and secure finished products in accordance with shipping and quality requirements.
• Perform visual quality inspections during packing, identify potential defects, and report non-conforming products according to established procedures.
• Create product identification labels and accurately enter and retrieve production and product information within SAP.
• Support production and material flow by coordinating material needs, assisting with product movement and staging, and operating packing/material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety, 5S, inventory control, packaging, and shipping procedures.
What do you bring…
• High School Diploma or GED; previous experience in product packing, quality control, manufacturing, or a similar environment preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn material handling and packing equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, stretch wrap and strapping equipment, and core cutters.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills; previous experience with SAP or a similar system is preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and geometric comprehension with the ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including standing for up to 12 hours, lifting up to 80 lbs., and working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
